Silhouette

Kind of corny, I know, but this pic of a sunrise on Mallorca is all I could come up with. And it’s definitely  a picture of silhouettes.

I try not to take pictures against the light because seldom something good comes out of it – aside from Silhouettes that is. And Silhouettes of people and buildings are not my cup of tea: I do not only want to see their shape, but the life and colour of them as well.

I like it. The warm colors of the sunset provide a really nice backdrop for the silhouette of the trees and the beach huts.

This a good photo for the theme. It’s at the top of my list. I’m with you I rarely take photos that don’t have clarity.

  4. There is a very nice variety of shapes in this shot, though.

  5. You know what they say, “One person’s corn, is another’s…”
And of course, “When life gives you corn… make popcorn.”
Ahem. Anyway, it is a beautiful shot. Thanks for sharing 🙂

yeah, i don’t think it’s corny at all – it is the colours that makes it for sure – thankx for sharing – really creates an image of peace and relaxation… nice one!

  9. Against light is orange crush good!

  10. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Jim really likes sillouhettes and taking photos into the sun – even though they don’t often come out – but when they do – they are truly great. Did you like Mallorca? We preferred Ibiza and Minorca when we took the kids there many years ago.

I have never been to Ibiza, but Menorca as a family holiday years ago. Actually Mallorca is a beautiful island, if you do not stay to close to tht typical (german) tourist spots. 🙂
